You can find brand new pieces, antiques, and repurposed items made by artists in Atchison. It's so hard leaving without buying something you could use!
Even better, Backroad Atlas shares a space with Daisy House Atlantic--a café/bakery. Daisy makes nearly all of the baked goods and treats, and with such a great selection of different items someone is bound to find something to eat--from the cinnamon rolls to breakfast bread bowls to caramel apples to cheesecake. Daisy also has a lunch menu that changes every day, but she usually has a soup or two, a few sandwiches, and then a dish or two like hummus and pita or even lasagna.
